Our reply is that using our SpaDent in-office treatment, you will typically see significant results after only just one treatment, while the over the counter kits can take many applications and still not achieve the whitening you may be looking for.
Additionally, our in-office whitening is safer is our teeth whitening solution is minimally invasive. Our dentists apply the whitening under controlled dental conditions while you are self-reliant to when using the over the counter treatments.
Compared to over the counter treatments, our whitening agents are more powerful and uses advanced whitening agents. So our treatments can provide you with longer-lasting visible results. Additionally, we will provide you with take-home whitening trays so you can perform your own touch-ups, so you can keep your smile whiter and brighter.
Most patients tell us that the in-office whitening procedure is more comfortable and being minimally invasive and professionally applied, there is greater control over the outcome.
Professional in-office whitening has the ability to whiten your teeth up to eight shades lighter in one visit. The beauty of the SpaDent™ whitening system is how gently it is on your teeth. Patients sensitive teeth are great candidates for SpaDent™ because of how gentle it is.
Step 1 in your whitening journey will be a consultation where during your appointment, we will discuss the results you hope to achieve. As well, we will perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums to ensure your compatibility with the treatment.
Step 2 is a teeth cleaning before your whitening appointment. Here we can do a thorough cleaning to remove any calculus or plaque on your teeth. Without doing this, the whitening gel will not be able to penetrate the tough layers of grime that may have accumulated on your teeth. This way, we can maximize the benefit of your treatment.
Step 3 is the actual Whitening procedure itself. We will cover your gums with a special substance to protect them as well as apply lip moisturizer to protect your delicate lip surfaces. We then use a desensitizing agent on your teeth, and then finally apply the whitening gel. We then use the SpaDent Blue LED light to accelerate your whitening process. This can typically take 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the whitening level to be achieved.
After your SpaDent™ treatment, your teeth will continue to whiten for 24-48 hours after the visit.
